Ron LeLeaux has an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Northeast Louisiana University. In 1984, he began a career in college athletics as an Academic Counselor at his alma mater. His work at Northeast was noted on ABC's College Football the Race for Number 1 in the fall of 1985. He returned home to Sulphur, La, in 1992, after accepting a a position at McNeese State University.
