3 Ring Binding
Binding Style Services
We produce all types of book-bindings right here in our full-service plant in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Our hardcover books sport a full color, printed & laminated cover. For those who are more old-school, cloth covers with foil stamping may better suit your vision. We can also do leather, dust jackets, two-tone half bindings, foldout charts, & children’s board books upon request!
Perfect Bound Paperback
Strong adhesive holds our paperback books together to provide the perfect bound casing for your book. A lot of authors often choose the best of both worlds and order the cost-effective paperbacks along with a few nicer hardcovers for sentiment’s sake.
Other Binding Styles
Comb Binding is standard for cookbooks. This binding allows the book to lay flat and have a stiff plastic spine. Stores will also require that retail cookbooks have a printed spine.
Coil Binding is used for manuals and other workbooks or corporate binding as the plastic spiral allows the books to be flipped all the way around. We'll also add a transparent protective page on the front and the back of the book for protection.
Saddle Stitching is a magazine-style binding used for traditional catalogs, chapbooks and programs. This type of bindery may also be used for children's books.
Post Binding is still sometimes requested for archiving original church minutes or periodicals.
Plastic Strip Binding is used for business reports.
Wire Coil is sometimes used for specific application.
Normal pricing is based upon industry standard 60# offset for your b&w book pages or 80# matte for color printing. This paper has good opacity and is acid-free. We also supply natural ivory color paper and 70lb offset or 100 lb. coated thickness upon request. Paperback covers are printed on 10 pt. glossy cardstock. For Poetry books or shorter runs, we can get out the paper swatches and try out a lot of interesting things with paper crafting.
