The five parishes in Southwest corner of Louisiana is known as Imperial Calcasieu, a name derived from its early history of development. Cemeteries are attractive and impressive in Imperial Calcasieu in their own right. There are many burials are obvious and commonplace. Decoration and adornment demonstrate a devotion to the departed. The more than 280 photographs included herein represent a chronicle of the variety and conditions of this unique part of Louisiana.
