Fruge Families
Writer and artist, Peggy A. Borel resides in Westlake, Louisiana. She can be found most days at her desk writing and illustrating the lives of fictional characters within her imagination, bringing them to life for others.
Peggy is a graduate of Thomas College, Waterville, Maine, and she has studied Liberal Arts at Joliet Junior College, Joliet, Illinois. She has taken various writing and art classes offered by McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Peggy is a member of SCBWI, SLSCBWI, and Bayou Writers’ Group. Each year she attends Jambalaya Writers’ Conference, Houma, Louisiana, A Bridge to Publication Conference, Lake Charles, Louisiana, and SLCBWI Writers’ Conference in Lake Charles, Louisiana.We have chosen Napoleon Frugé I, born in 1848, the 7th of 10 children to be the pivotal point of this project. Napoleon I was a child of the third generation of Frugés in Louisiana. Consequently, he and his children became the 4th and 5th generations of Frugés. He is the progenitor of over 2,000 families dating from 1848 through 1998.
