In this two volume set, Researcher Shirley Thibodeaux LeBlanc was able to obtain good documentation about the original Pierre as one of his daughters married the Secretary of the Governor of Acadia. Hundreds of ancestors are listed as having been born in Port Royal, Acadia (Canada) but then moved to & were thus buried in St. Martinville, Louisiana. Nine hundred pages of accurate genealogical records also includes 200 Cajun family photos. This body of work includes an astonishing 4,230 source notes for future researchers. The 18,000 name detailed index also encounters, by way of marriage, most every other Family Name of French Canadian descent throughout the Louisiana settlements.
