Ashraf Esmail, Ph.D., is the Program Coordinator of Criminal Justice at Dillard University. He is the senior for the Journal of Education and Social Justice and International Journal of Leadership, Education and Business Studies. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Contemporary Issues of Higher Education. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Peace Education, World Association of Academic Doctors, and Louisiana Council of Resources.
Lisa Eargle, Ph.D., is a Board of Trustees’ Research Scholar and Professor of Sociology at Francis Marion University. Her research interests focus primarily on the areas of disasters and crime. Dr. Eargle has published five edited books: Black Beaches and Bayous: The BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Disaster (2012), Savage Sand and Surf: The Hurricane Sandy Disaster (2015), Gun Violence in American Society: Crime, Justice and Public Policy (2015), Revival, Redemption, Recovery and Resilience: The Gulf Coast 10 Years After Hurricane Katrina (2016), and Dark Denials and Despicable Damage: Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in America (2017).
Perry Lyle, Ph.D. has a combined 40 years’ experience in the Public Safety Leadership and Private Security having held responsible positions of leadership in law enforcement, intelligence, and private security. For the past ten years, he has been engaged in Higher Learning. He is an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Columbia College teaching in both the Undergraduate and Graduate programs. Dr. Lyle earned his doctorate from Capella University in Public Service Leadership with honors, and his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Criminal Justice from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida. He is a member in the FBI’s Infragard Program and actively participates in the World Association of Academic Doctors, and the Association for Former Intelligence Officers.
